Waiting for a Jet Plane

I am addicted

To thoughtlessness-es

On choir less afternoons

When everything smells of cheap oriental perfume

And headaches are left to dry upon

Blistering, loveless verandas

Sickness-tanned

Everything is the same

Same white, black and blue

Even the leaves sway to just one side

That too, from where the wind never blows

And another days lies jaded in

The grunge-garage of piling moments

Moments upon moments

Hands, smiles and gestures

Umbrellas, no rain

Flowers wilting without kisses

And kisses wilting without lips

Un-filled forms waiting un-application

A lamplight lies in the day

And the moon wanes the moment

The stars come out to party

And when I venture on my way

But where’s the light ?

No, I don’t mean those halogen apologies

I want to see

It by

Not

It

Don’t shine for your own damned sake

Let me see through it

Let the light lie

Let it lie awake

Untouched

Un-blemished!
