Blurted out shamelessly
From screaming mikes
Atop stately pulpits
Spoiling an evening reverie

Or the immortal amorous pledges
To woo her off her feet

Or those bottled miracles
Pledging to wipe off age from your face
Or those hopelss frowns

Or those gleams of fortune
To enrich you by a dime
Or that happy, fulfilling,
Satisfying, jingling rhyme

All promising happiness prime
Promises aint no crime
